Our core values can be found in Matthew 22:35-40. Simply they say love God and love people.
Here is the story from Matthew of how a religious leader tried to trap Jesus into saying something that
would give the religious community grounds to accuse him.
One of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?" And
He (Jesus) said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with
all your mind.
This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, you shall love your neighbour
as yourself. On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets."
One way we sum up our values is by saying that we are called to be worshippers of God and deliverers of men.
